Hook
Some teas need an explanation — this is not one of them. Organic elderberry and echinacea — two herbs celebrated for centuries in Western herbal tradition — blended with ginger root and tulsi in a bold, berry-forward USDA Organic cup that herbal enthusiasts reach for the moment the cold months arrive.
Story
A lot of people who know about herbs — people who have done the reading, who grew up around herbal tradition, who understand what these plants are — they always want to have this tea. They do not need anyone to explain it. They see elderberry and echinacea on the box, and they know exactly what they are looking at.
Echinacea is one of the most respected herbs in Western herbal tradition. It has been used by Native Americans for centuries, long before it became known across Europe. Elderberry has its own story — celebrated across European folk herbalism for generations, one of those berries that every village herbalist kept in the pantry when the cold months came. These two herbs together? That is not a random combination. That is a pairing that people who understand herbs have been making on their own for a very long time.
We took that pairing and built a complete tea around it. We added ginger root for warmth and spice — real organic ginger that you can feel on the palate. We added tulsi, which brings that earthy, slightly clove-like depth that rounds everything out. And we finished with a touch of stevia leaf for gentle natural sweetness. Five organic ingredients. Nothing unnecessary. Nothing hiding behind a long list of fillers.
The result is a bold, deeply flavored tea with a sweet-tart berry character, a prickly herbal edge from the echinacea, and real ginger warmth underneath. It is the kind of tea you stock up on before fall arrives and keep in the cupboard all winter long. Not because someone told you to. Because you already know.
What You'Ll Taste
:berry: First sip: Sweet-tart elderberry — rich, dark, and fruity, with an intense berry depth that colors the entire cup a deep ruby-purple :herb: Mid-palate: The unmistakable prickly, herbal "zing" of echinacea — slightly tingly on the tongue — layered with warm, spicy ginger and the earthy, clove-like character of tulsi :sparkles: Finish: A gentle natural sweetness from stevia, a lingering ginger warmth, and a clean, slightly tart close that invites the next sip
Tasting notes: dark berry sweetness · tart elderberry depth · prickly echinacea zing · warm ginger spice · earthy tulsi · clean sweet finish
Our customers' favorite add-ins:
- Honey — deepens the berry sweetness and softens the echinacea tingle
- A squeeze of lemon — brightens the tartness and adds a citrus lift
- A thin slice of fresh ginger — doubles down on the warming spice
- Nothing at all — the stevia leaf already provides a gentle natural sweetness, and the elderberry carries its own rich flavor
How To Brew
Standard cup: Pour freshly boiled water (200-212°F) over one tea bag. Steep 5-7 minutes. The elderberry color blooms immediately — deep ruby-purple — while the echinacea and ginger develop as the steep continues. Leave the bag in for a fuller, bolder experience.
Stronger brew: Use two bags or steep 10+ minutes. Gently press the tea bag with a spoon before removing to extract every last bit. Herbal teas never turn bitter — this one only gets deeper, richer, and more intensely berry-forward with time.
our founder's cold-season ritual: Steep one bag in boiling water for 7-10 minutes. Gently squeeze the bag. Drink it as warm as possible — as warm as you can handle. Add honey if you like, but try it plain first. This is a tea with real presence in the cup. You will feel the ginger warmth and the echinacea tingle from the very first sip.
Iced elderberry refresher: Brew two bags in a small amount of hot water (about 4 oz) for 10 minutes. Let cool. Pour over ice. Add honey and a lemon slice. The elderberry becomes crisp, bright, and beautifully tart — a stunning deep-purple iced tea that looks as bold as it tastes.

Faq
What does Ayurveda Elderberry And Echinacea Tea taste like? The flavor is bold and berry-forward. Elderberry leads with a sweet-tart, deep berry richness — the cup brews to a striking ruby-purple color. Echinacea adds a distinctive prickly, herbal "zing" that is slightly tingly on the tongue — unmistakable if you have tasted echinacea before. Ginger brings a lively warmth, tulsi adds an earthy, clove-like depth, and stevia leaf finishes with a gentle natural sweetness. It is a layered, full-bodied cup with real herbal character.
What is echinacea, and why is it in this tea? Echinacea is one of the most respected herbs in Western herbal tradition. It was used by Native Americans for centuries before it became widely known across Europe. Today, it is one of the most popular herbal ingredients in the world. In this blend, it pairs with elderberry — another herb with deep roots in European folk herbalism — creating a classic combination that herbal enthusiasts have trusted for generations.
Is this tea caffeine-free? Yes. This is a 100% herbal blend — naturally caffeine-free. It contains no green tea, black tea, or any caffeinated ingredients. You can enjoy it morning, afternoon, or evening.
When is the best time to drink this tea? Many of our customers make this their go-to tea during the colder months — fall and winter. It is a cold-season staple for herbal enthusiasts. That said, it is caffeine-free and delicious year-round, whether enjoyed hot or iced.
How is this different from other elderberry teas? Most elderberry teas rely on elderberry alone or pair it with generic fruit flavors. This blend brings together elderberry and echinacea — two of the most respected herbs in Western herbal tradition — and builds around them with organic ginger root and tulsi (holy basil). Five organic ingredients, no fillers, no artificial flavoring. It is a purposeful blend, not a marketing exercise.
How should I brew this tea for the best experience? Pour freshly boiled water over one tea bag and steep for 5-7 minutes. For a bolder cup, steep 10+ minutes and gently squeeze the bag before removing. Our founder recommends drinking it as warm as possible. The elderberry color blooms immediately — deep ruby-purple — and the flavor only deepens with time.
